Anyone who has worked in a zoological environment for very long knows that commercially available products are not always adaptable to their needs. In his 30-year SeaWorld career, Craig was called on many times to create a unique implement to serve a unique purpose.
One example is this bite block requested by veterinarians to facilitate dental and other types of killer whale healthcare in safety and comfort. Others include animal handling equipment, such as squeeze boxes, animal transport equipment, and anesthesia cones.
Education departments often find a lack of appropriate teaching aids available in the general marketplace. Craig created this "spud shark" for SeaWorld's educators to help them dramatize the functions of the various parts of a shark.
In addition, Craig specializes in small custom aquarium construction and has significant experience in the installation of various sizes of glass and acrylic viewing panels.
Craig also is adept at various types of study preparations, including skeletal and tissue preparations. Among his accomplishments are the preparations of four great white sharks, one 18 feet in length.
