Craig Hill's Sea World tenure provided unique access to photographic and morphologic data for a large number of marine animals. Craig painstakingly references this and other data to assure the accuracy of his models, adding his own creative touch to craft a sculpture that is at once artistic and realistic. He also is createslarger art sculptures in various media by commission.
Models & Sculpture
Throughout his career, Craig has created limited edition bronze art sculptures as well as larger display pieces, including commissioned custom wall art. Many of his models can be produced in bronze upon request. Craig also accepts commissions for sculptural pieces in various media. All of Craig's models are mounted on natural bases, such as soapstone, or sculpted bases that represent the animal's habitat. Custom mountings also are available. Each is hand-painted. Craig's models range from the very familiar bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) to the now-extinct Baiji dolphin (Lipotes vexillifer) that once lived in China's Changjiang (formerly Yangtze) River. Others are available by commission.
